Manual pairing code for PC/Linux
Offline media preload
Install JSNET Kiosk OS PC
Use this flow for mini PCs, old PCs, and x86 kiosk terminals. Installation replaces the target disk, so prepare the device before starting.
Create bootable USB
Write the ISO to a USB drive using a reliable imaging tool. Do not just copy the ISO file to the USB.
Boot the device
Connect keyboard, mouse, display and network. Boot from USB and start the installer.
Install to disk
Select the target disk carefully. The installer prepares the kiosk OS and required runtime components.
Reboot and open setup
After installation, reboot into JSNET Kiosk OS PC. The local setup wizard appears for network and pairing code entry.
Pair PC/Linux device with pairing code
JSNET Kiosk OS PC does not use QR pairing. Pairing is done by manually entering the pairing code shown/generated in the admin panel.
Open admin panel
Log in to the JSNET Kiosk dashboard and create or select the correct customer tenant.
Generate pairing code
Use the device pairing section to generate a one-time pairing code for that tenant/customer.
Enter code on device
On the JSNET Kiosk OS PC setup screen, type the pairing code manually and confirm.
Confirm online status
After successful pairing, the device appears online in the dashboard and starts receiving commands.
Media preparation rules
JSNET Kiosk is not unlimited file storage and not a video streaming server. Prepare files before upload and use offline preload for playback.
- Maximum upload size: 100 MB per file
- Video format: MP4 only
- Recommended video codec: H.264 / AVC
- Recommended audio codec: AAC
- Recommended FPS: 25 or 30
- No server-side transcoding or optimization
- Video and playlist content should be preloaded and played from local cache

Recommended preparation tools
Content, playlists and groups
Use groups and presets to control many screens without visiting each location.
Create content preset
Create URL, image, video, application or playlist presets from the admin panel.
Create playlist
Combine URL, image and video items in the required order for campaign playback.
Add devices to groups
Group devices by branch, location, client, department or screen type.
Open Preset / Play Playlist
Send the selected preset or playlist to one device or the whole group. Offline devices receive commands on the next heartbeat.
Preload first
For video playlists, preload media before playback so every device downloads and stores the files locally.
Protected Service Menu
Service Menu is intended for installer/support use, not for normal end users.
Keyboard trigger
Type the protected trigger 445566js on the kiosk screen.
Emergency access
The Enter-hold emergency access remains available for service work.
Available actions
Network & Pairing Wizard, Clear Cache, Restart Application, Return to Web Kiosk, and Device Info.
Device Info
Use Device Info to verify OS version, runtime version and basic device state.
Android QR note
QR workflows are for Android only. PC/Linux JSNET Kiosk OS uses manual pairing code entry in the setup wizard.
Quick checks
Device does not appear online
Check internet connection, pairing code, tenant selection and device time.
Video does not play
Verify MP4/H.264/AAC format, file size, successful preload and local cache status.
Old page visible in browser
Clear Laravel view/cache and open the page with a cache-bypass query such as ?v=20260614.
